Mathu Vadalara (2019)

This movie is a breath of fresh air for me. This was released in 2019 , it was experimental, hip and something new. Actors were good especially Surya. Pace was so quick that one needs to keep catching up with it. It was a rare combination of mystery and comedy done effectively.

The premise

It is an interesting premise. Many parallel stories are run to keep the mystery in place, friendship plays a major role in this. Although at the end of this movie it is said that there is inspiration taken from real life events but kudos to the writer and director that how well these events are stitched together.

Screenplay

The movie had many strands running and there were many callbacks and of course being a mystery movie the scenes had to be perfectly in order to not give out much but still keep the audience glued. And then there is sprinkle of comedy and well well some of the scenes are mindblowing in that sense.

Experimental

There are many things you will find out that many directors who are bold try those scenes, some of the scenes are in these movies are simply great, the trance scene, the fight scene and the mystery revelation scene stand out

Entertainment factor

The movie is high on entertainment factor including good film making, good acting, some serious screenplay, bold direction. You will be satisfied after watching this movie.
